Parish council members and clergy from the Metropolis of Boston participated in online Zoom training sessions led by renowned consultant Bill Marianes from Orthodox Ministry Services and Stewardship Calling.
BOSTON, Mass. (Dec. 23, 2023) – Earlier this month on December 4th and 14th, parishes of the Metropolis of Boston attended two Zoom training sessions, led by Bill Marianes, on the effectiveness of consistent and effective parish leadership. The sessions aimed to empower attendees with valuable insights and strategies to enhance their congregational growth and positively impact their respective communities.
“Throughout my time as chancellor of the Metropolis of Boston, Bill has been a dear friend and mentor to me personally,” said Father Ted Barbas. “He is someone I continue to learn from and look to for advice and I believe all our parishes around New England feel the same way.”The two online sessions were the latest offering of the Thriving Congregations Initiative of the Metropolis of Boston, supported by the Lilly Foundation. This initiative aims to provide resources and support for Orthodox Christian parishes in the Metropolis of Boston to thrive and flourish.
