The Youth and Young Adult Ministry Parish Guidelines provide practical, age-appropriate frameworks for establishing, strengthening, and sustaining Orthodox youth and young adult ministries within the parish. Developed by the Archdiocesan Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries (Y2AM), these resources offer guidance on spiritual formation, ministry structure, leadership development, program planning, safety standards, parent engagement, outreach, and budgeting. The guidelines are designed to help clergy, ministry leaders, and volunteers build vibrant, Christ-centered ministries that support youth and young adults at every stage of their faith journey.
On this page you will find the following ministry guidelines in PDF format:
HOPE Guidelines (Grades K–2)
JOY Guidelines (Grades 3–6)
GOYA Guidelines (Grades 7–12)
Young Adult (YAL) Guidelines (Ages 18–35)
Together, these ministry guidelines provide a comprehensive roadmap for creating meaningful opportunities for fellowship, worship, service, leadership development, and lifelong participation in the life of the Church.
Please contact us at y2am@goarch.org with any questions regarding these Parish Guidelines.
